Data from China Customs shows that
Nigeria’s imports of various types of cranes from China in 2021 are worth US$35.954 million, an increase of 42% compared with the total import of US$25.267 million in 2020. From the time line, the monthly import value varies greatly, with the highest import value in July and September 2021, and the highest import value in November 2020. Information obtained from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce shows that the bilateral trade volume between China and Nigeria in 2021 will reach US$25.68 billion, a year-on-year increase of 33.3%. Among them, China’s exports to Nigeria were US$22.64 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.9%; its imports from Nigeria were US$3.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%; Nigeria continued to remain China’s largest exporter to Africa and the second largest trading partner.
