Certex Danmark A/S has delivered and installed two new tailor-made crane solutions for Vredo Denmark’s newly built workshop halls in Aulum, near Herning.

Vredo Danmark is a distributor of agricultural machinery that required the two crane solutions for very different lifting and handling tasks.

One crane is a Certex-GH 10 ton overhead crane for the preparation hall, and the other is a Certex-Niko light rail crane for the welding department.

The workshop’s largest and heaviest items are handled in the preparation hall. The single overhead crane here has a span of over 18m and a lifting height of 6.2m. It has an underrunning girder and comes with frequency control of all movements, a load display and radio control.

In the welding department, the crane is designed to handle smaller items that weigh 15kg to 100kg, although there is occasionally a need to lift larger items of up to 1,000kg. In order to accommodate both types of lifting and at the same time achieve the highest possible efficiency, Certex Danmark installed a light rail crane that is constructed with two traverses, each with a capacity of 500kg, for a total capacity of 1,000kg

The Certex-Niko light rail crane is equipped with a Liftket variable frequency drive (VFD) electric chain hoist and is operated via a radio-controlled remote control.

“Originally, a 1,500kg overhead crane was wanted in the welding hall, but based on good dialogue and guidance from Certex Danmark, the choice instead fell on a light rail with two overhead cranes, which is faster and easier to operate and at the same time enables both types of lifting,” said Lars Vestergård, director and owner at Vredo Danmark.
