How to protect myself when trading crypto?
« on: March 19, 2025, 02:42:44 PM »
I started actively trading crypto, but the more trades I make, the more I worry about safety. I keep some of my assets on the exchange and some in my wallet, but still it seems that there are risks everywhere. What methods really work to minimize the probability of hacking or theft?

It is better not to store all crypto in one place. Exchanges can be hacked, wallets can be lost, so cold storage is a must-have. Two-factor protection, unique passwords, address verification before transferring - basic things. Another important thing is the service through which you trade, such as secure crypto trading - security is really well-developed here.

Thanks for the reply! About cold storage - I generally understand, but it's not always convenient to use. Do these platforms have a cold storage feature? Or is it better to move to separate devices for this? I would like to know more about how it works in practice.
