Harrington Hoists has broadened its range of hoists with the addition of new NER electric chain hoists that feature a smart limit option.

Hoists in this range are available in dual-speed capacities that span 1/8 ton through to 5 tonnes and are designed for a range of applications such as precise lifting, lowering and stopping.

The new smart limit feature enables the hoist operator to program both the upper and lower smart limit positions directly at the hoist pendant.

This is claimed to eliminate the production downtime that generally occurs when geared limits are adjusted. The hoist is also equipped with a “soft stop” feature that slows down the hook as it approaches each limit in order to ensure precise

According to Harrington Hoists, the range of NER smart limit electric chain hoists also incorporate the features found in the manufacturer’s three phase hoists.

This includes its “Guardian” smart brake technology, which is a maintenance-free brake that features an “extreme duty” 60 minute rated motor.
