Overseas shipments of haulage cranes,
gantry cranes and overhead cranes fell -X% to X units in 2021, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Overall, there was a sudden drop in exports. The most significant growth rate occurred in 2019, when exports increased by X% year-on-year. As a result, exports peaked at X units. Export growth failed to regain momentum in 2020-21.
In value terms, exports of transport and overhead cranes fell to $X in 2021. Exports continued to show sharp declines during the review period. The most significant growth rate occurred in 2014, when exports increased by X% year-on-year. As a result, exports peaked at X dollars. From 2015 to 2021, the export growth rate will remain at a low level.
The
United States (X units), Belgium (X units) and Bolivia (X units) were the main destinations for Chilean transport and overhead crane exports, together accounting for X% of total exports. In addition, U.S. exports of transport aircraft and overhead cranes more than doubled the figures recorded by Belgium, the second largest exporter.
From 2012 to 2021, among the major destination countries, the most significant growth in shipments is Belgium (X%), while other leading countries experience declines.
By value, the largest markets for transport and overhead cranes exported from Chile are the United States ($X), Peru ($X), and Belgium ($X), which together account for X% of total exports.
